Following the operation, patients may need to stay in the intensive care unit for one night.
On the first day after surgery, the patient will be allowed to sit at the bedside, and leg exercises will be initiated.
The patient is mobilized on the same or following day.
The patient remains in the hospital for seven to 10 days after surgery for adequate recovery and rehabilitation.
After discharge, the patient is taken into an exercise program.
Your doctor will schedule periodic postoperative visits.
